About
Us
Mitchell & Moran
is a general practice law firm with a strong focus
on family law
matters. We understand that the issues that lead to
family law cases such as divorce and child custody can be
incredibly stressful and are both emotionally and financially
taxing. It is our goal to help clients navigate the
complexities of the legal process and to resolve issues in a
way that is fair and just, allowing clients to maintain
not only their sanity, but also their
dignity.
Our years of
experience litigating divorces and working to help
clients secure custody, visitation and child support have not
numbed us to the significance of the work we do.
We recognize that even
if we have done a thousand divorce or custody cases before,
your case is the most important thing
happening in your life right now. We approach each
client with that in mind and treat every case with
the level of respect and dedication appropriate to that
fact.
Our attorneys also
have a particular sensitivity to cases involving domestic
violence. Before opening this practice, Patricia Mitchell and
Lindsey Moran spent several years exclusively
representing victims of domestic violence, together litigating
hundreds of protective order and peace order cases
for people suffering intimate partner abuse. We are
tireless advocates for our clients and offer not only zealous
representation in court, but also a wealth of experience in
safety planning and connecting clients with organizations and
resources designed to assist in the transition from domestic
violence victim to domestic violence survivor.

Our partners come from a
non-profit background and founded the firm on a
mission of access to justice. Consequently, Mitchell
& Moran provides excellent, effective and
innovative legal services at a
reasonable rate. There is no "one size
fits all" approach to family law. We tailor our
representation to the requirements of your particular case,
providing only the services you need, and with an appreciation
of the fact that you'd rather be spending your hard-earned
money on your family than on your family law
attorney.
We additionally have a commitment to being accessible
to our clients. Clients will have direct access to an
attorney familiar with their case via in-person meetings at
our office and also by telephone, fax or email. We
respond to all client contact in as timely a manner as
possible.
